摘要:This paper discusses how to extend the teaching significance lying in collegeEnglish second classroom teaching, to create new mode of college English teaching onthe organic combination of the first classroom and second classroom.
Chapter Five The Investigation: Questionnaire, Interview and Analysis
5.1 Target of the investigation
Through the form of questionnaire, the author makes an analysis of the developmentof college English second classroom in Wuhan Railway Vocational College ofTechnology, intends to discuss the problems and conntermeasures of the secondclassroom. This questionnaire attempts to explore the following issues;1. Students' time and main ways in learning English.2. Students' main difficulties in learning English.3. English learning environment.4. The propaganda of the second classroom activities.5. Students' participation in the second classroom activities and reasons.6. Current situation of the second classroom activities.7. Students' evaluation of the second classroom activities.8. Students' suggestions to the college's current second classroom activities.9. The most popular second classroom activities.10. Students' attention on listening and speaking in English.Through the interview with teachers and management staffs in different departments,the author can have an overall understanding of the current English second classroom inWuhan Railway Vocational College of Technology. According to the interview, theauthor will find out the disadvantages of English second classroom construction inWRVCT and work out countermeasures to improve the current situation.

Conclusion
Through the questionnaire survey, the author found that there were still someproblems in the second classroom activities in Wuhan Railway Vocational College ofTechnology. The college needs to constantly improve in practice, carry out more types ofthe second classroom activities, strengthen supervision and management, buildevaluation and analysis system and complete the outline of second classroom activities.As an extension of English classroom teaching, the second classroom activities are ofgreat help for students to improve language application ability. The second classroomactivities can guide students to expand the knowledge, train basic language skills andimprove the comprehensive quality. Therefore, the optimization and improvement ofEnglish second classroom teaching is an ideal way to enhance the effect of Englishteaching and plays an important role in improving students' comprehensive quality.Although the factors affecting college English second classroom activities lie inmany aspects, but the training of practical application of College Students' Englishability is the times' need, is also a long-term and arduous task. This requires bothleadership and administrative departments of the college and English teachers to put thelimited time,energy and money effectively into this "gentleman" project.
