摘要:本文是大学英语论文,研究结果为外语教学实践提供了有益的启示:教师应该加强对学生学习和生活上的情感支持,注重教学平等,激发学生的学习动机;设计和组织既能激发学生兴趣又有益于提高其英语成绩的任务,以此来调动学生参与课堂活动的积极性。
edagogical implications and then point out the limitations and meanwhile putforward some suggestions for future researches.This study adopts quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the relationship between collegeEnglish classroom environment and English learning burnout. The major findings are as follows:Firstly, the results of descriptive statistics for college English classroom environment indicate thatstudents’ perception of their English classroom environment is at medium level, which means they have arelatively favorable classroom environment to study in. Among the nine dimensions, their perception ofstudents cohesiveness is the highest and perception of involvement is the lowest, which indicates thatstudents can get along well with each other but they are less motivated to participate in classroom activities.Besides, their perception for the teacher’s performance in class is lower than that for their ownperformance.Secondly, the results of descriptive statistics for English learning burnout suggest that students suffermedium degree of English learning burnout. Of the three dimensions, cynicism is the most serioussymptom while exhaustion is the least serious one, which means students tend to hold an indifferent andnegative attitude towards English learning but they don’t feel so exhausted in English learning.Thirdly, the results of canonical correlation analysis show that college English classroom environmentis significantly and negatively correlated with English learning burnout, but it can only partly predictsEnglish learning burnout, which means there are many other factors that also account for English learningburnout. It is mainly students’ responsibility, teacher support, equality, task orientation, teacher leadershipand cooperation that exert great influence on exhaustion and cynicism of English learning burnout.Fourthly, there exists significant difference in depersonalization between high and medium perceptiongroups. But this difference is insignificant between medium and low perception groups. Instead, thedifference is significant in the dimensions of exhaustion and cynicism between this two groups. In addition,there exists significant difference in all the three dimensions of English learning burnout between high andlow perception group.
