摘要:Although there have already been a lotof studies on language learning anxiety and the researchers have achieved a lot, someresults of the previous research are contradictory.
Conclusion
Within the vocational and technical colleges, the students, males and females, doexperience a comparatively high degree of English learning anxiety.Among the 150 subjects in this study, the minimum score of English learninganxiety is 60 while the maximum score is 148. The mean score is 99.37 and thestandard deviation is 23.99. Among the four dimensions of English learning anxiety,test anxiety ranks the first. This means it can greatly arouse the students Englishlearning anxiety. The second and the third are communication apprehension andgeneral anxiety respectively. The least one to cause the subjects English learninganxiety is fear of negative evaluation. In fact, both of the two genders are experiencing a rather high degree of Englishlearning anxiety. The mean scores of male and female subjects are 100.0128 and98.7396 respectively. Male subjects have comparatively higher scores of Englishlearning anxiety which reveals the fact that the male students experience more severeanxious feelings.
