Abstract
Chinese culture originated in the agricultural civilization of the river, while English culture originated in the commercial civilization of the ocean. These two very different cultural origins deeply influented the socio-economic development and people's lifestyles in their respectively countries. The Englishman is very proud of the traditional breakfast. It seems to a lot of foreigners come to Britain, takeing ham and eggs for their breakfasts is part of the taste of British culture. Compared to the Chinese, it is simple and is at a low nutrient level. Traditional Chinese breakfast, such as cakes, fried dough sticks, steamed buns, rice porridge, noodles and vermicelli accounted for a large proportion in Chinese people’ life.
