摘要:英语写作策略的影响因素多种多样,英语写作已成为一个重要的和必要的部分学习英语,因为英语写作不仅全面反映学生的英语水平,学生的英语能力和输出性能。模糊容忍程度对英语写作策略的有着很大的影响,本文就学生的表达过程中的模糊容忍程度进行研究。

In English writing teaching andlearning, how to use effective writing strategy is the important factor for improving thewriting ability and writing performance. Teachers and students began to realize theimportance of writing strategy usage. Many surveys have proved the correlationbetween writing strategy and writing performance. Many factors are found to influencethe usage of writing strategies, such as learners’ language ability, language’s difficulty,learners’ culture background, age and motivation, etc. All these factors will lead todifferent tolerance of ambiguity. Hence, cultivation of students’ suitable tolerance ofambiguity so as to use effective writing strategy is significant for the improvement oftheir writing ability and writing performance.


  1.2 Purpose and significance of the study研究意义和目的
  English writing is a comprehensive practical activity in English learning. It is alsothe weak point of both the English learners and English teaching in China, as well as aheat point in the field of second language acquisition research in Chinese Englishteaching. In the process of second language acquisition, learners as the main learningsubject often show many distinctions. Individual distinction factor has profound impacton second language acquisition. As an emotional factor, tolerance of ambiguity isclosely related to foreign language learning. As we all know, foreign language learningmakes learners steadily accept new culture knowledge and difference. It is a process ofgradually producing high tolerance of ambiguity. So learners cannot avoid encounteringmany disturbances of psychological factors in the English writing process. Hence,tolerance of ambiguity is a significant factor to influence the English study effect. Manyresearchers have conducted studies about tolerance of ambiguity and Englishperformance and found that there are significant correlations between the two. Thetheorists and applied linguists of second language acquisition claimed that suitabletolerance of ambiguity can promote the success of language learning. But the researchesabout correlation study between tolerance of ambiguity and English writing are seldomfound. Most studies of the tolerance of ambiguity are concerned with reading, listeningand the whole English performance.In recent years, researchers have conducted many surveys on college students’writing strategy. Most of the researches have proved the impacts of writing strategy onEnglish writing, and claimed that students who use appropriate writing strategy canimprove writing ability and writing performance. But in ambiguous situations, not allthe learners are able to choose the right learning strategy because of the differenttolerance of ambiguity. Thereby, researchers began to do researches about the relationbetween learning strategy and tolerance of ambiguity. However, most of the researchesare about the aspect of reading and listening learning strategy, the correlated surveysabout writing strategy are seldom done.Therefore, the present study started from the point of tolerance of ambiguity andwriting strategy to discuss the relation between both the two factors in second languageacquisition and moved on to seek the effective way of improving students’ writingperformance.
