摘要：Verb is quite important in English. There must be a verb in one sentence, so some peoplecall it “the heart” of the sentence. We divide English verbs into finite verbs and non-finite verbs.As is known to all, non-finite verb is one of the most important and difficult parts in Englishgrammars.

Conclusion

Comparing Chinese-English translation with multiple choices, we can see that the learnersdo much better in the latter. They are well acquainted with language knowledge consisting of thegrammar, but they cannot use it in the real contexts. This phenomenon indicates that it is easierto know a language than to be able to use it. The main reason is that the objective question onlyneeds passive thinking that the students can achieve it through constant practice while translationis an active use of language which needs long time to master the target language skillfully.
