摘要:本文是一篇英语教学法论文,笔者认为教师需要停止将中职学生视为消极状态的问题群体,检查他们对学生的看法是否客观、全面,并尝试做出改变。从调查问卷的结果中可以发现,学生的积极心理水平总体上处于中等水平,这表明他们并不像人们一直认为的那样消极或被动。事实上,学生有自己的优势,如欣赏美丽和卓越(M=4.15)、好奇(M=4.09)、感激(M=4.03),这与中职生对学生的总体负面评价相反。

Chapter 2 Literature Review
2.1 An Overview of Positive Psychology
In order to better understand this thesis, an overview of the theory of positivepsychology is necessary. Firstly, the definition is introduced, and then studies of itsmeasurements. Moreover, this paper’s test scale is drawn from positive psychology’scontribution to the measurement of positive quality: the CSV (Character Strengths andVirtues: A Handbook and Classification). Finally, three primary fields: positive subjectiveexperience, positive individual traits, and positive institutions, are introduced, and thepractice strategies of this thesis are explored based on these three fields.
2.1.1 Definition of Positive Psychology
The following definitions of positive psychology, all taken from authoritativepositive psychological sources:
What is positive psychology? It is nothing more than the scientific study of ordinaryhuman strengths and virtues. Positive psychology revisits “the average person, with aninterest in finding out what works, what is right, and what is improving... positivepsychology is simply psychology (Sheldon & King, 2001).
Positive psychology is the study of the conditions and processes that contribute to theflourishing or optimal functioning of people, groups, and institutions (Gable & Haidt,2005).
Seligman notes that the aim is to build thriving in individuals, families, andcommunities, to find and nurture genius and talent, and to make normal life more fulfilling, not simply to treat mental illness (Seligman, 2002).In reviewing the previous authoritative positive psychological sources, P. Alex Linleyet al. define positive psychology as follows: positive psychology is the scientific study ofoptimal human functioning. At the meta-psychological level, it aims to redress theimbalance in psychological research and practice by calling attention to the positiveaspects of human functioning and experience, and integrating them with ourunderstanding of the negative aspects of human functioning and experience. At thepragmatic level, it is about understanding the wellsprings, processes and mechanisms thatlead to desirable outcomes (Linley et al., 2006).

2.2 Related Studies from Home and Abroad
This section aims to find out what researches and findings have been accomplishedso as for the researcher to better draw lessons and references from them. It mainlyreviews the studies on the application of positive psychology strategies on schooleducation abroad and at home, including a brief introduction of positive education andpositive vocational education, studies on the practice of positive psychology on Englishteaching, and status of secondary vocational English teaching. Moreover, it tries todetermine the research development of positive psychology on the three researchquestions of this thesis.
2.2.1 Related Studies from Abroad
This section will introduce the rising of the western positive psychology movementand the new changes and ideas of positive psychology 2.0.
