2.2 Corpus and Its Application in Language Pedagogy
Over the past few decades, computers have gone through several generations,and the computational analysis of language is developing rapidly. The tradition oflinguistics is limited to what a single individual could experience and remember(Sinclair, 1991). Starve of adequate data, the corpus project are emerged. Sincespringing up in 1960s, the use of corpora gradually permeates each area of languageresearch. But as for the application of corpora in language pedagogy, it begins only 20more years ago. In this part, the question that what are corpus and concordance arefirstly cleared, and then some applications of corpus in language pedagogy arepresented to well know the corpus’ function.

CHAPTER FOUR DATA COLLECTION AND DATA ANALYSIS
In last chapter, a detailed description of design of research method is presented.And after all the quizzes, questionnaires and interviews are collected and scored, it isready to analyze the raw data of the scores and the transcriptions. Thus, in this chapter,some findings of the research will emerge from the results of the analysis.
4.1 Analysis on the Data from the Results of the Classroom Quiz
After class, a quiz is provided to test students whether they have mastered theuse of the grammar well. The following table is the results of the quiz oncomparatives in unit 3 under the help of SPSS 16.0. From table 4.1, it can be seen thatthe mean score of EG is 76.5429, higher than the mean score of CG that is 72.3243. Itshows that the two groups score has a difference. Moreover, from the results of thet-test, it is known that equal variances assumed (F=0.293, Sig.=0.590>0.05).
