本文是一篇初中英语教学论文,本研究基于建构主义学习理论和批判性话语分析,设计适合初中生的批判性阅读教学模式,并通过教学实验以探究这一教学模式的教学效果。

Chapter One Introduction

1.1 Background of the Research

With the expansion of information,the rapid development of the Internet,and therate at which knowledge is updated,the twenty-first century is an era of informationand knowledge.People need to obtain the information they need from many readingmaterials,which necessitates the ability to analyze,synthesize,and evaluate theinformation to make the right choice.The ability to select information correctly isdependent on critical thinking,which is one of the essential thinking qualities oftalents in the new era and one of the key abilities of students'development,theimportance of which can't be overstated(Chen&Zou,2016).Because of theinfluence of exam-oriented Education,education in our country frequently neglects orlacks the methods and guidance to cultivate critical thinking in the process of talentcultivation.The junior high school stage is an important period for students to acquireinformation and knowledge while also shaping their thinking,and reading is the mostimportant source of knowledge and information.To gain authentic and valuableknowledge and information in a limited amount of time,they should read critically todetermine whether the information they acquire is authentic or not.At the same time,they need to develop the critical reading ability to analyze and evaluate readingmaterial and make sound judgments and decisions.Following the concept anddevelopment achievements of the New English Curriculum Standards for Senior HighSchools,English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)fully explores the unique educational value of English courses at the compulsoryeducation level,stating that the quality of thinking is one of the core literacydevelopment goals of the English subject and giving the school section characteristicsof the quality of thinking.

1.2 Purposes of the Research

In teaching practice,teachers play the most crucial role in cultivating students'thinking qualities.Traditional reading teaching has steadily failed to suit teachers'demands to foster students'critical reading ability,and teachers'teaching methods hasa subtle impact on students.Therefore,based on the constructivist learning theory andcritical discourse analysis,this thesis attempts to combine critical reading teachingwith the application of front-line reading teaching in junior high school and explorethe impact of the application of critical reading teaching in English reading class on junior high school students'critical reading ability based on existing research results.The study hopes to analyze the changes in the frequency of students'use of criticalreading strategies and the differences in students'critical reading ability through tests,questionnaires,and interviews,to implement the cultivation of the critical readingability to specific students'skills.In the examination,questions such as inference,generalization,analysis,and evaluation are increasing,which is also the point wherestudents are easy to ignore.The application of the critical reading teaching mode canimprove students'critical reading ability.Only through the reform of teachingmethods and getting rid of the limitations of traditional teaching methods can studentsbetter meet the reading requirements and improve论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
