Their modern and high technology of making movies especially the technology of dealing with special effects is the most advanced all over the world. Americans use special effects as a magic stick that guarantees a good box office receipt in almost every animation movies and science fiction movies. Special effects can make the most unbelievable impact because they can make the most impossible thing in the true world become true; they can let audience see the most wonderful scene and bring them to undergo the dangerous situation which they have no chance to feel in the true world; which is the most important: it can make a scene vivid. That is why usually the scenes dealt with special effects attract audience’s eyes a lot, and that is why American people would like to pay a lot of money to make the wonderful special effect scene in movies. Animation special effects are almost essential in every movie nowadays. Unreal things can be portrayed realistically into movies. One of the successful movies, which adopt animation effects, is Jurassic Park in 1993, shocking people with the realistic dinosaurs. In this movie, the filmmaker shows us an unbelievable beautiful paradise of dinosaurs. Every dinosaur in that movie is so vivid and real that they make people believe there is really a heaven filled with this kind of giant animals in today’s world. Technicians deal with every part of the dinosaurs’ body with the computers. These technicians have honors in the whole Hollywood and they hold the wonderful ability of both computer and imagination. Their art ability also does a lot. To some degree, we can say the advanced point of American movies’ special effects lies on the high ability of those technicians. Some people say nowadays one movie can be made without any human’s acting, and we can substitute special effects for stunt, but one thing is sure: even we substitute special effects for stunt, but all the procedures are still operated by human—the technicians.
