摘要:本文侧重于非英语专业新生的跨文化交际能力的调查。通过分析国际刑事法院之间具有不同语言能力的非英语专业新生现状,探讨提高ICC 策略的因素。因此,本研究可以提供一些实用的方法,为改善国际刑事法院对非英语专业新生。

Bosnian, Richardson and Soeters (2007) made a study about Culturaladaptation from military context.Because Intercultural Communication Competence has a close causal relation withcommunication effect, the research of Intercultural Communication Competence is one of thehighlights of internationally intercultural communication. Scholars have done a great deal ofresearch on ICC from different angles and made great achievements.
The foreign scholars have done a good job in the discussion of the relevant theory about ICC,and the more representative research is done by Kim (1991), Gudyknust (1992) and Chen(2002). They hold the view that the ICC includes a set of adaptabilities from the cognitiveperspective, affective perspective and behavioral perspective,and only when the participantshave the above abilities,they can suspend and modify their original cultural habits during theintercultural communication according to the actual condition. Moreover, they can learn andconform to the different cultural habits and creatively deal with the cultural differences.Actually, what the above theories concern is mainly the psychological aspect, but there is littleanalysis on the language and the application of the language. 丁he foreign scholars have donea good job in the theoretical research, and many models and scales on ICC are discussed andproved through empirical studies. Ruben (1979) is the first one to evaluate and predict ICCthrough test. Afterwards a lot of scholars do the relevant studies in this field, many tests andscales are developed.
Bennett (1986,1993) proposes the following six development stages of interculturalsensitivity in his Development Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS): denial defense,minimization, acceptance, adaptation and integration. Hammer (2003) develops InterculturalDevelopment Inventory (IDI) based on Bennett's DMIS. Both of them believe interculturalsensitivity is an embodiment of potential ICC. Their scales are used for empirical studies. Butto what extent intercultural sensitivity can reflect ICC needs more studies. In addition,intercultural sensitivity is a reflection of the ICC, but the intercultural sensitivity isn'tconceptually equal to ICC. Chen and Starosta (2002) develop the Intercultural SensitivityScale (ISS) in accordance with their theories on Intercultural Communication Competenceand intercultural sensitivity. The 24-item inventory consists of five factors, representing fiveaspects of intercultural sensitivity. For each item in the scale, there are five choices rangingfrom 5 -strongly agree to 1- strongly disagree. Testees can choose from 1 to 5 to answer the24 questions. And the scale meets the standard scientific criteria for a valid and reliablepsychometric instrument.
