Introduction


In recent years, we have seen a brisk Chinese catering market, and the catering industry has maintained a two-digit growth for 16 consecutive years. Due to the continuous prosperity of catering market, it is bound to attract the sight of more investors, while the original catering enterprises continue to expand their scale. Consequently, the competition among future catering enterprises will be more intense. To occupy a favorable position in the market, the enterprises are actively exploring, hoping to find the secret of everlasting enterprise boom. This paper conducts a study on WA Company-- a well-known company in Beijing catering market, featuring Sichuan cuisine, which has got rapid development since its establishment in 2002. WA Company has developed into a chain catering enterprises owning seven branches in a short span of five years and it has been deeply favored by young people. For this reason, this paper takes WA Company as an example and discusses the factors that affect employee engagement in modern catering enterprises from the point of view of demonstration, hoping to provide some guidance for the development of these enterprises in terms of theory.
