2. The significance of my research:

Traditional culture is a mirror that can reflect the history of a country. National traditional festival has profound connotation of national culture .It has great significance to the development of a nation. Nowadays, we cannot ignore the fact that some traditional Chinese culture is in a dangerous situation with the rapid speed of globalization and modernization. With the entrance of American festivals and movies , American culture has been permeating into our culture, and as a result, our culture is changing subtly. So the phenomenon of the negligence of traditional festivals should have aroused much concern from all ranks.

3. Methodology:

I will obtain the information that I need from the Internet as there have been lots of people who have studied this area. And I will ask some English teachers who have lived abroad for many years for help too. Therefore, as a student we have some our own opinions, so I will acquire some students’ thoughts for consideration. Last but not the least, I could ask my tutor for some advices.

2011.12: Collect materials; finish the Outline and literature review;
      2012.1-2: Finish the first draft;
      2012.3: Modify the first draft and finish the second draft;
2012.4-5: Finish the last draft and prepare for the thesis defense

4. Possible difficulties and solutions：

The needs of my materials: library, internet, references, printing equipment, papers and so on.
The difficulties I may possibly encounter:
A. The references may be not enough and the obstacle may have some differences;
B. Limited by ability, my preparation may not be enough, so my document may be not comprehensive and leave out significant informations.
C. As I am not good at writing, my documents may not convey my views very well, and may lead to the understand questions.
The overcome of these difficulties: I will prepare ahead and discuss between classmates. And I can also ask the teachers for help. But the most important is due to my hard work., and I will do my best.
