He pointed that the Sonnets, as amatter  of fact,   was  totally  different   from   metaphysical   poems withcharacteristics of varieties, complexity, and richness in language of poems. Healso believes that every image and detail can be appreciated alone withoutdestroying the integrity of the whole sonnet: every poem itself is a simple andintegrated one. It is the theme in Shakespeare's Sonnets that aroused a hotKurt Lewin (1997: 50), a famous German psychologist believes in histopology cognitive theory that the physical space is singular while thepsychology space is plural; that the physical space is closed in driving force.Therefore, the space of cognition is plural, open and of metaphor. Luo (2005: 78)illustrates the Sonnet 18 in Lewin,s topology psychology and he believes theuniverse in the perspective of time and space has four seasons which are spring,summer, fall and winter. A person's life (the small universe) has childhood,youth, the noon of life and declining life. The summer in the universe istransient while the summer in his faire youth's life is eternal.

1.3 Research Objective研究目标
This thesis analyzes 26 sonnets (Sonnet 127-Sonnet 152) on the theory ofconceptual metaphors and by means of parable rhetorical criticism. As aframework of 17 usual kinds of metaphors Osbum, Hart and Lin Jinglingorganize (Lin, 1997: 112), the thesis finds all the metaphors in the 26 sonnets,counts and marshals them and generalizes the main target domain and the sourcedomain. Then it makes a comparison between the source domain and the targetdomain and analyses the systems of the target domain. It finally abstracts fivethemes all concerning love from metaphors in the 26 sonnets. They are "love isblind", "love is a transaction", "love is an illness", "love is a war" and "love isslavery".

1.4 Research Plan研究计划
The whole thesis will be developed into five chapters.Chapter 1 will introduce rationale which is the reason for producing thisthesis, previous study on literalism including literature criticism, commentversion, structuralism, biography and topology, research objective and researchplan, the organization of the thesis.Chapter 2 will touch upon theoretical framework which includes a briefretrospect on metaphor research, Lakoff & Johnson's theory about conceptualmetaphor, working mechanism of conceptual metaphors and significance ofconceptual metaphor theory in analysis of poetry.Chapter 3 is metaphorical phenomena in the Sonnets. It deals with workingdefinition, language data collection, language data processing and result.Chapter 4 is devoted to the Shakespeare's views of love and lust and theirproofs. They are: love and lust is passionate (surging like sea water); love andlust is irrational (morfibic and blinding); love and lust is inextricable (irresistibleof deceptive transaction, of bloody war, of torturing slavery).Chapter 5 is the conclusion.
