摘要:we should adopt the methods mentioned above to pronunciation correctly and try to avoid the impacts made by our mother tongue so that we can make great progress in English learning and make much progress in speaking and listening.
ds of different consonants through the touch with the upper and lower teeth, the alveolar ridge ,the hard palate ,and the soft palate .The lips can either open or close, either extend or round .They can also change tone colors, especially that of vowels, Before learning the phonemes, the students must make clear where the vocal organs are ,and learn to control the vocal organs, Thus the students can imitate rationally, depending only on perceptual imitation, students can not make great progress easily .We must depend on the principle of phoneme to instruct the imitation exercises scientifically.
4.2 Training on syllables
Learning syllables is very important for the students who have not good language environment. Through the training on syllables and on the basis of phonetic symbols, students can independently pronounce a new word correctly. They can also quickly remember the pronunciation of the new word in order to look it up in a dictionary .Word is the smallest unit of a language .The first step in listening training is to master the correct pronunciation of words .If we can not grasp the basic principle of articulation ,our listening will not be improved. For Chinese students, on the basis of grasping the basic principle of articulation, the more important is to distinguish between English and Chinese articulation, to know the pronunciations that do not exist in Chinese and to practice until they finally have a good command of the articulation
4.3 Training on Rhythm
The training on rhythm plays a significant role in learning the pronunciation. However, people don not attach too much importance on it (even many students do not know the training program at all). Rhythm is one of the most outstanding characteristics in oral language. It covers two aspects, namely, foot and sound velocity. Foot refers to the beat unit made up by stressed syllables and unstressed syllables .Sound velocity refers to the interval of stressed syllables. In the light of rhythmic pattern, language can be divided into two kinds: syllable-beat language and stress-beat language. Chinese and French belongs to the former /English and German belongs to the latter. Because English is a language reckoning the time by stress, its rhythm lies in that the interval between the stressed syllables is almost the same .That is to say , stresseed syllables and unstressed syllables appear alternately. The two make up a stress group together. For example, “‵Tell him to ‵put it ‵down” “‵Tell the boy to ‵put the book ‵down.” “‵Tell the other boy to put all books on the ‵table.” The three sentences have different length, but because they have same stressed syllables, they need almost the same time, Chinese is a language reckoning the time by syllables. Chinese students are greatly affected by this, so they always try to pronounce every syllable correctly and neglect the English characteristic of reckoning the time by stress. Thus, it brings difficulties to listening. Grasping the rhythm of English articulation is that the more the stressed syllables are ,the slower the sound velocity is .On the contrary ,if the stressed syllables are less ,the sound velocity will relatively accelerate, making the stressed and unstressed syllables sound lilting in order to keep the rhythm of waves, To listen clearly the unstressed syllables between the stressed syllables ,students should first know the rhythm wel
