Nancy commits one of the noblest acts of kindness in the story when she ultimately decided to risk her life to help Oliver. Her character represented Dickens’ view that man, however influenced by surrounding society, could still retain a sense of goodness.

He could keep good virtues in any evil environment While Nancy is just like many common people of us, she could be influenced by the surrounding people. But she also keeps some good virtues in heart. The most important information implied in his novel by Dickens is that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Just like Oliver Twist, because Oliver Twist has all the goodness, he could conquer every difficulty . He could live in evil environments and finally he could live a happy life. In the meanwhile, the only character who fluctuates between the world of good and evil is Nancy. She is a representative of the most common people. She is not totally good or evil.
