1 Introduction

Paul Virilio is a cultural theorist of French, and his main research area is the architecture, media and modern warfare. In his theoretical system, the core word of his thinking is speed, and his first key word related to his theories is “dromology”. Now, we are more and more in an accelerated culture, while the greater the acceleration is, the more thorough the disaster caused by it. So the second key phrase is “integrated accident”. Also, Paul Virilio (1986) put forward the view that “the speed is power”. He thought that “speed” was very important in the development process of the history. Under certain conditions, “speed” could be converted into any power.

In this essay, first of all, I will briefly deal with Paul Virilio’s experience; then I will analyze related problems, such as, the analysis of mobility、the analysis 英国论文写作 of liquid modernity and so on; thirdly, I will discuss the view of Paul Virilio-“the speed is power.”, and at last it is the conclusion of the study.
