1. the development of feminism activism and its principles
During the 1920s to 1930s, women in the western nations basically got the equal political rights, but in the society and people’s concept, women were still not equal to men. The feminists began to realize that gender power was the main issue in the gender relationship, so feminism movement began to analyze the reason of the inequality between women and men, especially putting emphasis on gender analysis. There is no substantial difference between feminism and womanism, but the recognition development加拿大社会学本科作业 (Germane Greer, 1994). As one of the feminism schools, rational feminism has a fundamental perspective that the oppression the women suffered is the deepest and hardest exploits form, and also this is the base to the other exploits forms, so rational feminism tries to find way for women to get away from such oppression. With a definite slogan that female as superior, rational feminism came into being since 1960s. it focuses on the issues that women enjoy inferior status to men and issues on the deep structure of male power system. Rational feminists believe that only get rid of male power system can reach the goal of womanism movement. To raise women’s status within the male power system will only continue the male hierarchy and inequality. Rational feminists claim that their theory thoroughly has “no trail of male power system”.
In the 1970s, rational feminism changed its concept from blaming women’s physiological status to blaming men’s physiological status. They go to another extreme that they advocate to repel men and regard men as the enemy.
