p;of MM and LA level of the Chinese non-English majors? And among the four factors in MM level, which has the greatest and which has the weakest correlation and contribution to LA level? Descriptive statistic analysis and Person’s coefficient analysis are used in this phase. The Table 4.1 is the descriptive statistic of non-English majors’ MM level including its four categories in MMQ survey. In this table, we can directly find that the mean of these students is 68.5147, the standard deviation is 8.11943. As for further analysis, the students’ responses are specifically examined from the four categories identified (planning strategies [PLA], monitoring strategies [MON], evaluation strategies [EVA] and remedy strategies [REM]). The means of the four categories of MM is respectively 14.4265, 21.8824, 19.0294 and 12.9412. The standard deviation varies not much. What’s more, the total score of the MMQ is 150, but the minimum and maximum of the students are 50.00 and 86.00, which are very low, in other words, their MM level is very poor.

Conclusions
This part is mainly about the summary of the present study. The contents include : the major findings, the limitations and some suggestions for the future research. This study utilized qualitative and quantitative research with the instruments of two questionnaires and one semi-structured interview. The results obtained from the descriptive
statistics, the Person’s correlation analysis and further testified by semi-structured interview revealed there is a positive and significant correlation with students’ MM level and LA level. The major findings are as follows: First of all, Chinese non-English majors nowadays are in general with poor MM level, and they are also with poor LA level. Secondly, there is a positive and significant correlation between planning/ monitoring/ evaluation/ remedy/ overall level of MM and LA level of the Chinese non-English majors. Thirdly, students’ used monitoring and evaluation strategy more often, and these two strategies are correlated with LA level most positively and significantly and the planning strategy is correlated with LA level most insignificantly.
