Conclusions  

The previous chapter analyzes the cohesive characteristics in some examples.   We can find out that the distribution of cohesive devices in Confirming Facts of the Case and  Tribunal  Comments  follow  certain  rules.  After  the  Results  and  Discussion,  this paper needs to conclude what this research’s shining point and insufficiency are. This chapter involves 3 sections. The detailed findings will be presented clearly in the first section. The following statements will answer  the  research  questions  that  are  listed  in  Chapter  Three  and  show  the  major findings of this paper. Explicit  cohesive  devices  show  a  great  variety,  while  implicit  cohesive devices run through the whole text with the dominating position. The language in Confirming Facts of the Case and Tribunal Comments are closely linked together by implicit cohesion, especially by the same theme progression pattern. While, sentences are  connected  by  various  lexical  devices,  especially  by  continuity  relationship.  This phenomenon lies in the fact that implicit cohesion is the foundation of the forming of the  discourse.  While,  explicit  cohesion  is  the  main  feature  of  the  coherence  of  the surface structure of sentence. It can be generalized that cohesion is not only the main device in constructing the discourse, but also has its own specific regular pattern in the genre of arbitration award.
