Context, speech function, modality, intonation andevaluation are interpersonal factors which are beneficial to the researches on coherenceof texts. Context is the occasion of texts and it provides the cultural and situationalbackground of study on Cohesive Harmony and the measurement of the coherence oftexts. Mood categories and speech functions indicate that certain mood categoriesnormally express certain speech functions accordingly. Modality provides a way ofmeasuring the textual coherence by expressing the speaker or the writer’s judgmentsindirectly and sustaining the harmonious atmosphere between the interactants.Evaluation concentrates on the attitude speaker or the writer expressed in textsconsciously or unconsciously. Those concepts contribute to the prominence of thephenomena of cohesive harmony in texts and contribute to the measurement ofcoherence of texts and enrich the Theory of Cohesive Harmony from interpersonalperspective.
