This paper consists of three major sections. Section one analyzes the translation ofThe Book of Songs. It narrates the translation history from western world and Chinarespectively. The category of The Book of Song; songs, odes and hymns are alsolisted in this section. At the same time, features of the three categories are presentedin the paper to show the differences in the process of translation.The following section is to expound the concept of fuzzy theory and therelationship between fuzzy theory and translation. In the statement of fuzzy theory,the paper introduces the origin and development of it，exposes the fuzziness inlanguage and elaborates the studies on fuzzy linguistics. Subsequent to them, thereare the statements about the significance of applying fuzzy theory in translation.Section three is the core part of the paper. It introduces The Book of Songstranslation based of fuzzy theory approach. For the sake of enhancing the validity ofthe research fruit, the paper selects three translated versions to show different degreesof fuzziness in the translation of linguistic, artistic conception and style fromrespectively the analysis of verbs, nouns; images，rhetoric devices and style, rhythm.Through overall analysis, it can be drawn as follows: in linguistic translation, thefuzzy expressions in the source language can find the relative fuzzy equivalents in thetranslated versions; in artistic conception reproduction，its fuzziness is reproduced inan absolutely fuzzy way in the translated version; in style transfer, the structure andrhythm in the source text are clearly presented and with the same are clearly shown inthe target text. After the conclusion of the translation regulation, this research hopesto contribute more or less to The Book of Songs translation.
