摘要:本文是英语词汇学论文,本研究基于体裁和体裁分析理论探讨如何把体裁教学法运用于高中英语阅读教学,并提出了适用于高中课堂的教学流程,目的在于在验证体裁教学法在高中英语教学实际中的对于提高学生的英语阅读能力的有效性;并探究其对学生的阅读习惯和阅读兴趣的不同影响。

1.2 Significance of the Study
It is shown that Genre-based Teaching Approach has been proved to be a very successful and effective way to teach reading for both native and nonnative speakers in many parts of the world by some relevant researches (Henry & Roseberry, 1998; Badger &White, 2000; Flowerdew, 2000). The development of genre and genre analysis theory also provoked a new way to teach English reading (Qin, 2000). Genre-based Teaching Approach is the pedagogy which based on genre and genre analysis and applies the theories of genre and genre analysis to English reading teaching. It also develops teaching activities according to the schematic structure of a text. Since the mid-1980s, Genre-based Teaching Approach has been applied to the language teaching. The conceptions of genre and Genre-based Teaching Approach have been the focus in some fields of study referring to the Ll and L2 teaching. This study focuses on providing a creative and effective tool to both the students and teachers in English reading, so this research is quite important not only for students’ further learning but also for teacher’s instruction in future. For the students’ part, this study aims to show them a new reading model which can stimulate students’ interest and initiative in English reading and develop their reading ability. Firstly, it can help students develop good reading habits and reading strategies. Teachers of some ordinary senior high schools analyze discourse mainly from the perspective of training students’ understanding of linguistic points but not improving students’ reading strategies. On the contrary, Genre-based Teaching Approach designs teaching activities based on discourse structure, which needs to develop students’ good reading habits and strategies. And the teachers apply different reading strategies to guide students do reading and help them increase teaching quality. Secondly, an efficient reading model which can stimulate students’ interest and initiative in English reading and develop their reading ability is offered.
