The author mainly processes the data that is collected according to  the  description  of  stating  and  testing  t.  Generally  speaking,  in  a  group  of  data,  the number that appears the most is the modal score of this group of data. The median is the middle  number  that  all  the  data  arranges  according  to  the  priority.  For  example,  the quantities  of  the  data  are  13,  so  the  median  is  the  seventh  number.  If  there  are  even quantities  of  the  data,  the  median  is  the  average  number  between  the  middle  two numbers. The average number is that adds all data together and then divides the data by the numbers.  Table  4.1.1  shows  us  the  twice  testing  results  of  the  CC  and  the  EC  in  the pre-experiment  and  post  experiment.  The  descriptive  statistics  is  counting  the  main value between two groups of the non-concentrated measures of dispersion, and then we inspect t to compare the significance of the mean difference.

Conclusion 

This  chapter  was  the  conclusion  part  of  the  thesis,  and  the  main  findings  of  the research  were  summarized.  It  also  included  some  implications  for  English  reading teaching  of  senior  high  school  and  the  limitations  of  the  present  study.  And  finally  it  put forward some suggestions for future researches in this field. In the research, some findings are presented as follows: Firstly,  English  reading  training  under  the  direction  of  Genre-based  Teaching Approach  can  improve  high  school  students’  reading  ability  effectively.  In  the experimental  class,  the  reading  comprehension  level  of  the  students  is  effectively developed,  especially  in  the  abilities  of  grasping  main  ideas,  making  judgments  and making  inferences  from  the  passages.  So  Genre-based  Teaching  Approach  is  useful, which  can  help  students  in  the  ordinary  senior  high  schools  develop  their  reading comprehension competence. Secondly, Genre-based Teaching Approach can stimulate students’ reading interest, form good reading habits including using reading strategy in reading process, which can make students have confidence to take part in more reading activities. And they will be active  in  reading  class  to  get  information.  In  the  experiment,  students  are  all  very interested in the new approach.
