　　This thesis is comprised of five chapters. Chapter One introduces the research backgroundas well as the purpose and significance of this study. The organization of the thesis is alsointroduced in this chapter. Chapter Two reviews the literatures concerning the theoreticalfoundation of present study as well as the related research on how to measure and what factorsaffect English teacher's sense of efficacy. Chapter Three introduces the research questions ofthe present study as well as the methodology adopted in the present research, which include theinstruction of the samples, instruments，process of data collection and the analysis procedures.Chapter Four provides a detailed description of the statistical results based on the survey and adetailed discussion of the results is presented as well. Chapter Five concludes the majorfindings in this study，in accordance to which some implications are proposed. Finally，thelimitations of the present study and the suggestions for the future research are presented.
