摘要:本文是大学英语教学论文。在实际的教学中,许多老师过于注重语法和句式。他们有的忽视了词汇教学的重要性,特别是引导学生在语境中对词汇做深刻理解。many teachers emphasize too much on the grammar and sentence explanation and practice. They neglect to teach vocabulary and let students learn the words,and recite the vocabulary after class by themselves.

2. Literature Review


2.1Category and Categorization
The concept of “category” has existed in the ancient time. In western academic history,the earliest usage of the word “category” can be traced back to Aristotle in ancient Greece.Aristotle has studied and described the system of category theory, especially in his CategoryCorpus, which is regarded as the beginning and basis of their theoretical system. During thetwo thousand years has made an important impact on the logic, philosophy and otherhumanities and social sciences research. In ancient Chinese, although did not exist the word“category”, in the sentences of an ancient book, contains the meaning of the category. “Fan”is the law. In ancient Chinese, the “law” means “standards”, “norms”, “rules”, this is thestandard classification of things. The “Chou” refers to the field in the essence. In the ancientbook, said “‘Chou’ is the name of a generation, and it is also for the class”, which means thecategory. (Wen, 2001) In fact, the category is to classify things, which we are not unfamiliar. In recognition ofthe complicated world, we always want to categorize things, thus memory becomes orderly.However, some things are not as easy to distinguish from each other, such as books or drugs.In fact, they are difficult to be identified and classified. Temperature and color often wanderbetween the two extremes, and become a continuous state. Objective world itself does notprovide clear boundaries and markers for temperature, color. (Rosch, 1978)The classificationof temperature and color can be achieved primarily by means of psychological processes.

2.2 Development of Category Theory
From Plato and Aristotle to Wittgenstein in the 2000 years ago, the scope of categorytheory is called classic category theory. The main theoretical principles are: (1) the scope isdefined by a set of necessary and sufficient conditions or characteristics; (2) it ischaracterized by two points; (3) the boundaries between them are clear; (4) all members are equal in the category. Plato believed that the world itself has characterized naturalclassification. Knowledge representation related to study potential knot of these partition.Getting the concept of knowledge is a matter of learning exists in the structure of the externalworld. As category of classification, a unifying structure of these things is analyzed accordingto the law. Plato regard category as a kind of construction that is independent in humancognition. It exists in the objective world. Through learning people can learn to get it.Aristotle believes that “category” has the effect on the experience. It sets the law for theexperience. Category makes the “chaos” material standardize, orderly. It is just a tool thatservices for obtaining knowledge. It seems that everything is flowing, and changing.
