摘要:本文是英语毕业论文,笔者认为非宾格动词又可以进一步分为不可转换非宾格动词(如 happen, die)和可转换非宾格动词(如stop, break),前者只能用作不及物动词,而后者既可以用作及物动词,也可以用作不及物动词。述以检验其区分能力。
akers, Chinese EFL learners madeoverpassivization errors in judging English unaccusative verbs;(2) The factor of input, i.e. learners’ proficiency and verb frequency, influencedthe judgment of unaccusative verbs. Specifically, with learners’ proficiency levelenhanced, fewer errors were made in judging unaccusative verbs; as to the factor ofverb frequency, only the performance of Chinese EFL learners was influenced by it,and they made more errors in judging low-frequency unaccusatives thanhigh-frequency unaccusatives;(3) Animacy hierarchy of subject influenced the judgment of Chinese EFLlearners’ performance, but not that of native speakers and this influence is modulatedby input factors (learner’s proficiency and verb frequency). Specifically, forlow-proficiency Chinese EFL learners, whether in judging high-frequency orlow-frequency verbs, there existed difference in unaccusatives with animate subjectsand inanimate (concrete and abstract) subjects, but no difference between concreteand abstract subjects, and they performed better in judging animate subjects thaninanimate subjects. For high-proficiency Chinese EFL learners, animacy hierarchyhad no influence on judging high-frequency verbs, but had influence on judginglow-frequency verbs and the influence was the same with low-proficiency learners, i.e.they were only sensitive to [±animate] dichotomy。

CONCLUSIONS
In this chapter, major findings of the present study are summarized first. Thentheoretical, empirical and pedagogical implications based on this study are given.Next, limitations and thereby suggestions for future research are also discussed. Finally, this chapter ends the thesis with a general summary. The study showed multiple factors operated in Chinese EFL learners’overpassivization of English unaccusativs, which indicated that overpassivization isthe co-effect of syntactic, semantic and extra-linguistic factors. Besides, the findingsalso suggested a robust input impact on the Chinese EFL learners’ on-line processingof English unaccusative verbs. Specifically, the major findings of this study are asfollows:(1) Compared with English native speakers, Chinese EFL learners madeoverpassivization errors in judging English unaccusative verbs;(2) The factor of input, i.e. learners’ proficiency and verb frequency, influencedthe judgment of unaccusative verbs. Specifically, with learners’ proficiency levelenhanced, fewer errors were made in judging unaccusative verbs; as to the factor ofverb frequency, Chinese EFL learners made more errors in judging low-frequencyunaccusatives than high-frequency unaccusatives;(3) Animacy hierarchy of subject influenced the judgment of Chinese EFLlearners’ performance but not on native speakers, and this influence was modulated bythe input factor (learner’s proficiency and verb frequency). To be specific,low-proficiency Chinese EFL learners, irrespective of verb frequency, made moreerrors with unaccusatives of inanimate (concrete and abstract) subjects than animatesubjects, but no difference between concrete and abstract subjects.
