These trends have deeply influenced on the East Asia and Southeast Asia. In fact, most Asian countries, despite their favored form of familistic capitalism with paternalistic industrial relations, were slightly bent on the European side, on. the “Info-Industrial Model”, in that they have maintained the protective measure implicitly. But, as Aoyama and Castells (2002: 134) have indicated, the “dramatic reversal of economic fortunes between Japan and the United States during the 1990s had repercussions on the debate over the two competing models of economic growth: from that of state-led industrialization, the focus has increasingly shifted to that of the entrepreneurial economy supported by risk capital”. As the result, advanced and middle-level developing countries in East and Southeast Asia were obliged to be incorporated in the global network economy.
III. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 研究方法论
3.1 Definition of Research Methodology
The Research Methodology describes the steps followed in conducting our study and the materials we used at each of the steps. This is to inform about how the information was collected, selected, analyzed and how it is affecting the findings and the results. Also, if someone would have the interest to make use of a research methodology as used in a
thesis before as a basis to conduct a new further improved version of it, it would be much easier to do so.
3.2 Definition of Case Study for doing a Social Science Research
Besides experiments, surveys and other approaches, a case study is one of various ways of doing a social science research. Instead having to create a sample, for instance with the help of a questionnaire, while choosing a set of limited variables sample, a case study aims to provide a detailed observation of an event or a problem With collecting and selecting data to come to a result after analyzing the information, the researcher and also the reader may obtained gain a comparatively more deeper understanding of why a a situation or an event happened as it did, and what point of view or which way of looking at a problem might be suitable for further research. A case study can fabricate as well as confirm or disprove a hypotheses.
A case study can also be used as a way of doing research by observing a circumstance taken from a real life situation. Also, it is mainly based on quantitative findings of data by using a pool of many sources and findings prior to the creation of the respective case study. According to Lamnek (2005) a case study is “a research approach, situated between concrete data taking techniques and methodological paradigms.'
3.3 The Use of the Case Study Approach as Research Methodology
Having limited time and research, we use the case study approach for doing our research. As mentioned before, a case study is relying of a pool of many sources and findings. With having further detailed information about a situation or a problem, one is not only relying on merely how often a variable may occur or not. Conducting just a survey to achieve the same results is less likely possible. Thus, it is more appropriate to select a case chosen for their validity. Case studies are especially made use of in the
