摘要:Through the questionnaire, interview, the author tries to create corpus status of juniorschools’ vocabulary teaching and learning difficulties and vocabulary teaching methods on thebasis of statistics, classification.

second language acquisition. According to contrastive analysis hypothesis,the differences between the first language and the target-language are in direct proportion tothe difficulties of the second language acquisition. Namely, the greater the difference, thegreater the difficulty. Contrastive analysis hypothesis is at its top in 1960s. It is not until thelate 1960s that contrastive analysis hypothesis is submitted to empirical study. The findings ofresearchers raise grave doubts about negative transfer. However, it can’t testify contrastiveanalysis in the following two points: (1) The difficulties that it has predicted didn’t occur tothe second language learners; (2) While some unpredicted difficulties have emerged in thesecond language learners. Thus, contrastive analysis hypothesis came to its cold period.

2.2 Language Transfer in English Vocabulary Teaching
Language is a kind of social phenomenon and represents the culture of society.Meantime, vocabulary is the carrier of culture. Since there is language transfer, culturetransfer does happen in the process of a second language acquisition and it influences thesecond language teaching and learning. Because of the connection between culture andvocabulary, culture transfer influences the vocabulary teaching and learning.Yuan Caihong & Lang Hongqin(2000) in Negative Transfer of Native Culture andEnglish Teaching: There are different cultural connotations of vocabulary in differentlanguages. Different cultural backgrounds result in different thought patterns. It will lead tomisunderstanding when one learns a second language in native thought pattern. For example,the Chinese has different emotion to “ dragon” and “ dog” from the American. There are greatcultural differences between China and western countries. According to this, cultural transferinfluences the English vocabulary learning. In order to improve the efficiency of Englishvocabulary teaching, the English teachers should melt culture introduction into the process ofvocabulary teaching.
