摘要:本文是初中英语教学论文,本文借助于Swain的语言输出理论,研究以写促学在我国初中生英语教学中的应用,希望以此来引起学生在英语学习过程中对写的重视,通过写来提高英语的学习效果。因此本文提出了以下两个研究问题:
The method is an another learning style for students, it is based on writing and is called writing-to-learn. The thesis will answer these questions. The number one is that writing-to-learn can improve the score of junior middle school English examination (exclude listening part). Next one is that writing-to-learn can improve the writing ability of junior middle students. It will be found the answers through procedure of the research and data analysis.

Chapter 2 Literature Review
2.1 Writing-to-learn Studies Abroad
Teachers paid more attention to the final product of writing in many years ago. All kinds of grammar rules were used in compositions. It was like accurate grammar or rhetorical style, it concentrated on error-free and coherent in the final product. The writing was called product oriented approach. There are not grammar or spelling mistakes in the compositions which were concerned by teachers. The teachers seemed to make the products by their standard. Many educators considered writing to be a medium to improve learning. Someone studied English to think that writing was important to help them to master the language. That was to say, learning English can be improved by writing, or learning through writing, which was called writing-to-learn. Writing-to-learn has been studied by educators and researchers for several tens of years. The process-oriented approach had developed by the teachers in writing teaching, writing work was used to be the processes of drafting and rewrite. Writing was regarded as products, but not processes at that time. The writing process is a tool for learning, a tool that can be useful to them throughout their professional and personal lives. (Nunan,2001) The writing achievement was important, but did not care about the writing steps and processes. The process oriented approach was regarded important than the product oriented approach. White and Arndt (1991, quoted Nunan, 2001) indicated that it helps to the learners to improve their writing ability at the time when they use the process approach to write something. The writing process became the appliance for learning. To learn knowledge applied the appliance was good for their learning process. British researchers and educators accelerated writing with education in other subjects. For the writing used in learning areas, its advantages showed in many ways. So the educators and researchers considered that writing might be useful to remember the things which they had learned, it is also helpful to understand of the disciplinary content.
