摘要:本文是一篇初中英语教学论文,本研究结果表明:学生在英语学习中对听力策略的运用在整体上处于中等水平,并且相比认知策略和社会情感/策略,学生更擅长使用元认知策略;听力测试合格者的策略运用频率整体上高于听力测试不合格者,二者在听力策略的运用上存在明显差异;

3.1 The Application Status of Listening Strategies

The content of this part mainly includes:the application status of metacognitive strategies,cognitive strategies and social/affective strategies among junior high school students;theapplication preferences of those who pass the listening test and those who fail the listening test;and the gender differences in students’application of listening strategies.

The first point to note is that the data analysis for this study was based on Oxford’sfive-level frequency scale.As shown in Table 6,the range of values that represents highfrequency is 3.5 to 5.0,which is concretely reflected in the questionnaire as“I always dosomething”and“I often do something”.Similarly,the range of values that represents moderatefrequency is 2.5 to 3.4,which is embodied in the questionnaire as“I sometimes do something”.Finally,the low frequency ranges from 1.0 to 1.4,which is reflected in the questionnaire as“Irarely do something”and“I never do something”.

Conclusion

Major findings

At first,the author found that listening strategies play a very important role in promotingstudents’listening learning when reading a large number of literature review,and many scholarshave demonstrated the correlation between English listening strategies and students’listeningscores(Rubin,1975).Subsequently,according to the previous research and my own investigation,the author found that there are indeed some problems and difficulties in junior high schoolstudents’listening learning.Therefore,the author believes that it is a very effective starting pointto optimize listening learning from the perspective of listening strategies in such a situation.Andthe author investigates students’listening strategies based on this premise.
