ck, symbolizes the formation of the Afro-American modern culture and also sets an example for the combination of white and black.
C. The American Civil Rights Movement of 1960s
After World War II, the nationality consciousness of the black becomes stronger and the international situation is also beneficial to civil rights movement. Under such environment, the Afro-Americans launch the black civil rights movement in which the most famous is the “Non-violence Resistance” led by Martin Rood King. The American civil rights movements of 1960s have far-reaching effects to the political process and racial relation’s advance of modern America. The movement has cleared away the law basis of racial oppression and increased black’s political activity range in America, which is the most directive achievements of these movements. For instance, the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964 symbolizes the Jim-crow law has been efficiently abolished in the aspect of education, employment, housing and so forth. The official discrimination against black does no longer exist. However, the goal of this movement does not achieve completely. Though it lessens the inequality between the black and the white, it increases the inequality within the Afro-Americans that gives prominence to the problem of poor black and makes segregation very serious.
D. Other Culture Movements
Since 1960s, Afro-American have launched a series of culture movements, among which the more important are the followings: the first is the New Black Aesthetics Movement which was beginning with the pass of Civil Rights Act in 1964 and ending with the withdrawing from Vietnam of American army in 1975. The second is the Cultural Diversification Movement raised in America since1980s whose main aim was to pursue the equality of each race. Then, it is the black rights movement which struggle for black self-government. It abandons the long struggle for the equality in politics, economy and life condition. Instead, it struggles for pursuing the black self-government in darktowns.

A. Not Yielding to the Christianization of the White
Under the slavery, the white attempted to control the black mentally through Christianity, while the black reconstructed the Christianity and combined it with African tradition religion to create their own mental world. Thereby, the unique black religious culture and the special black religious belief under slavery formed and became an important part of Afro-American culture. Therefore, to some extent, the Christianization of white to black has facilitated the carrying on of the Afro-American culture⑩.The black’ religion is the inheriting and development of the African culture heritage and an important way of black striving for surviving in bond service. The white attempt to control the black in mentality by using religion, but the black find the weapon of resisting mental oppression from Bible and create their own mental world.
B. Culture Diversity
America is a country of “big culture melting pot” that the minorities of different complexion and cultures live together. They affect and mix with all classes of white each other. The assimilation becomes the subject
