Conclusion


Chinglish mainly caused due to the interference of Chinese language, thinking andits culture, learning context,teacher effects and students' acquisition behaviors oftenarise in the English output of vocational college students which with obviousChinese trace are curt obscure,does not correspond with English usage,so difficultto be accepted by English-speaking people in the west. Chinglish with variousmanifestations greatly weakens cross-cultural communication effect and evendestroys the communication. But both teachers and students should recognize thefact that Chinglish is unavoidable for students and is the result when students keepattempting in the process of English acquisition so a positive attitude is a bettersolution to Chinglish. Above all, in terms of considerable collection andcorresponding analysis the thesis proposed possible approaches to the problem.It is advocated on one hand to acquaint students with some language learningstrategies with a well-defined objective in mind to enhance the linguistic competence,such as introducing culture, strengthening the language input, etc. On the other hand,it is a must to encourage students' awareness of discrepancy in interculturalcommunication as well as in language forms in order to reduce pragmatic failure andgenerate good language sense in English. Besides,mature teachers should becharacterized by systematic modem linguistic theory, the solid specialized Englishskills and flexible methods. All these solutions tend to avoid fossilization andChinglish in English acquisition from the resource and finally reach the target whichthe teaching syllabus of college English has demonstrated—cultivate students'integrated English competence, and at the same time strengthen the independentlearning ability, and improve the comprehensive cultural quality of students to helpthem adapt to the economic development in China and international communication.
All in all,this paper aims at analysis and investigation of Chinglish of thenon-English majors in vocational college and meanwhile put forward somecorresponding measures.
