Conclusion
Some people have made significant contribution to introducing the Chinese culture to the world and to reconstructing Chinese discourse system. Herbert Allen Giles’ English version of the Three-Character Classic has made great contribution to introducing the Chinese culture to the world. The Three Word Primer by Zhao Yanchun is the newest English version of the Three-Character Classic. The long sentence slows down the rhythm of the translation. So Giles’s translation does not convey the fast rhythm of the original text. The line arrangement is not brief and the line length is long. The translation could not convey the original text’s beauty in form. The punctuation marks of Giles’s translation are the same as the punctuatio
