In this paper, I will find out the differences of English language between men and women, and then attempts to make an exploration how to change the existing gender discrimination. What's more, through exposing the hidden differences between women and men in language, the thesis intends to raise people's awareness on fighting gender discrimination in language and call on people to make great efforts in the gradual elimination of gender discrimination .

The study of gender discrimination in English language began in the 1960s. In the long history, the status of women was not stable in our society; even women were inferior to men. Therefore, as for women, they need show and safeguard their status in society in the language and other aspects.
