摘要:In Wordsworth’s The Daffodils, the fluttering and dancing daffodils disclose the inner world of Wordsworth. His heart is still adhering to the secular world. In Wang Wei’s Magnolia Slope, the blooming flowers in the deep valley disclose the inner world of Wang Wei thoroughly.
f plant in nature, which are not as innocent as and plain as it were, which are soaked with the poet’s strong emotions. It seems that they are endowed with the emotions which belong to human beings uniquely.
According to Wordsworth’s description, the daffodils are dancing as men can do, “Fluttering and dancing in the breeze”, “Tossing their heads in sprightly dance”. Moreover, they are as competitive as human beings, competing with the sparkling waves in the breeze, “The waves beside them danced / but they out-did the sparkling waves in glee”. Seeing such beautiful scenery, poet can not help himself to join in the daffodils, regarding them as a jocund company, “A poet could not but be gay / in such a jocund company”.
In Wang Wei’s Magnolia Slope, the beautiful magnolia flowers remain keeping its natural qualities, which are blooming and falling according to the natural growing trajectory, without adding any elements of the poet’s personal emotions. However, we can find the figure of the poet emerges indistinctly among the poem, but we can not see him directly. Because the poet has already melted himself into the poem, into the natural world, he has become a part of the natural world. The magnolia flower is the poet, the poet himself is the magnolia flower, and we can not make a clear distinction between them. Meanwhile, the magnolia flower is still the flower, which keeps not only its natural qualities, but also combines with the poet.

Nature described in Wordsworth’s poem is not merely the nature; the daffodils are not merely the daffodils. The daffodils are engraved with the poet’s strong personal emotions, his joy and sorrow. Therefore, forming a state, flowers are not flowers, emotions are not emotions. This kind of state is similar to the second state while practicing meditation.
3.3.3 Magnolia Slope Attributing to the Highest State While Practicing Meditation
Nature portrayed in Wang Wei’s Magnolia slope is still the nature, the magnolia flowers are still the flowers. Moreover, the poet himself is well combined with the nature. The poet’s emotions are fused together in the nature; the poet himself and the nature are in complete harmony. Nature and human beings in complete harmony is a kind of state pursued by many poets, which is the highest in creation of pastoral poems. So Wang Wei has really reached the peak in this area. Such kind of state is similar to the third state while practicing meditation.
Wang Wei has achieved the highest spiritual realm, but his writing technique is not as intelligent as Wordsworth’s. His plain and rustic writing style forms a bright contrast with Wordsworth’s gorgeous writing style.
3.4 Different Ways of Expressing Affections
3.4.1 Totally and Directly Overflow of Feelings in Wordsworth’s poem
Wordsworth’s poems include all features of romanticist writings, such as “the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings”, “the return to nature for material”, “A sense of melancholy”. The first sentence in the poem “I wandered lon
