摘要:任何译本的产生都与译者自身的文化素养,审美眼光,以及情感态度等多方面紧密相连。作为一个特殊的读者,译者积极地参与到对原文本的再创造中。然而,当翻译时,译者不应仅仅发挥自己的创造性,还应忠实于原文本中的已定信息。

However, what they usually concentrate upon is thework itself and the source writer, while neglecting the important effect of the receptoror the reader. Actually, translator has two important roles while they are translatingliterary works, the first one is reader, and the other one is translator. Lu Xu once saidthat different writer sees different aspect of life, different reader sees different aspect ofwork (Mao, 2007). Sometimes people confront with the same piece of poem, but tosome extent, what they see is totally different. This is because when reading the literaryworks, people always use different aesthetical standards and different appreciatinghabits. The same literary work could arouse different understandings and interpretationstowards different readers. Traditional scholars neglect the active role of translatorsduring the process of decoding the source text. However, in the opinion of ReceptionAesthetics, reads’ statuses have been greatly increased. It focuses the main attention onreaders’ effect and activity. Just as what has been promoted before, during the processof translation, translators, first of all, are the readers of the source text, then as thetranslators. In this thesis, Reception Aesthetics would be used to analyze differentversions of the same poem, and try to explore the reason why different translators couldmake out those different versions as to the same poem.


1.2 Purpose and Significance of the Thesis论文的目的和意义
Reception Aesthetics differs from traditional research methods, it emphasizesreader’s status and role. As the special reader, translator’s subjectivity is meaningful andimportant to the generation of the translation versions, which should not be neglectedduring the studies.As to the purpose of the study, there are three aspects: deepen the appreciation ofReception Aesthetics, make concrete analysis of the five versions and find out thereason why these differences exist from the perspective of RA, try to find out thelimitations of RA theory, and to prove whether it could be used to explain thephenomenon of the co-existing to different versions toward the same piece of poem.The study of this thesis mainly has three significance: providing some hints to thestudy of Chun Xiao, make the application of Reception Aesthetics multiple, and beinstructive to translation studies. When doing, analyzing and criticizing the translationworks, reader’s role should be considered, especially the special reader--- the translatorof the original text, this will be important and indispensible to the translation studies.


1.3 The Structure of the Thesis论文结构
Chapter One is the introduction part.
