The United States is so, how about in China? Now life is getting better and better, there are more and more fat people in China. According to statistics, China has nearly 300 million people into the ranks of overweight and obesity, of which women account for 54%. That is, there are 150 million people in need of big size clothes, and this figure is almost approaching the entire U.S. population (Todd, 2010). The good life is results in the people are become fatter and fatter. Professor Popkin, from the University of North Carolina, said that the change had happened quickly as obesity was rapidly spreading’. Moreover, the fat people are more than the hunger people (BBC News). China is a developing country which is developed quickly in these years, but the fat people are more and more following the development. ‘Nationwide, there are now some 70-90 million Chinese who are technically obese and the problem are getting worse. By 2015, there are predicted to be as many as 200 million obese Chinese’ (Miler, 2010).
