Abstract
One of the most important historical developments in the last two decades of the 20th Century is the process of transforming the centrally planned economics into more market-oriented economies. Although the extent of the structural reform have differed greatly between the different “transition economies”, with few exceptions, nearly all previously centrally planned economies have embarked on this transition. Although the Chinese market reforms started in 1979, much earlier than the economic transition in Eastern Europe, however, during the gradual process on a trial-and-error basis, they also have some analogous aspects in this economic transition. Generally speaking, most countries in the group of economic transition acquire a success of economic growth. But due to the different initial situations and actual political developments, the gradation and stress in different countries are multiform. For example of china, in the first stage, the most important economic transition took place in agriculture, which is not identical with other Eastern Europe countries in the first stage. So, in order to understand the market-oriented economic transition completely and comprehensive, we will compare some various aspects between China and Poland- a typical Eastern Europe country.
