摘要:本文是英语毕业论文,本研究以 Weir(2005)提出的效度验证模式——“基于证据的方法”为理论核心,对我国中考英语阅读测试和国外初级托福阅读测试的效度展开探索性的对比研究。
The characteristics of test takers have a direct impact on the way they perform the test tasks. That’s to say, test taker is closely connected to the theory-based validity of a given test. In this section, the first research question is addressed by analyzing the questionnaire survey to find out what the physical, psychological and experimental characteristics of all the subjects are involved during the test taking processes on the one hand. On the other hand, the theory-based validity is examined by analyzing the reading skills both of the reading subtests measured according to Liu Runqing and Han Baocheng (2000: 106-107), as well as the participants’ cognitive and interactional activity in the processes of reading passages and answering questions from the immediate introspection experiment. Data from the items 1 to 4 in the students’ questionnaire indicates that none of the candidates in the process of test administration of CSET and TOEFLJ have special needs even though 33.8% of them feel uncomfortable physically, like headache, toothache or cold. Of them 29.9% feel nervous and anxious about not finishing the task in set time or the difficulty of the task, in particular TOEFLJ. When it comes to their experimental characteristics, the number of the participants who are familiar with CSET is much more than TOEFLJ with 54.5% for the former and 11.7% for the latter, because they have practiced CSET in their everyday English study for the preparation of SHSEE next year whereas it is the first time for them to take TOEFLJ formally although they experienced a practice test in prior of the study.
