 the  study  of  translation  theory,  the  influence  of  culture  on  translation gradually aroused the  attention by more and more scholars.  They were trying to explore and reveal the social, economic and cultural factors that affected translation. In this context, as an important part of social culture, the influence of ideology on translation became a focal point in  translation  studies.  Contemporary  American  translation  theorist  Lefevere  put  forward  the theory of manipulation based on the Polysystem Theory, which became an important theory in translation  culture  study.  He  thinks  that  translation  is  a  kind  of  rewriting,  that  is  to  say, translation  is  to  rewrite  under  the  control  of  ideology.  According  to  his  theory,  translation  is not  in  a  vacuum,  but  rather  the  product  of  the  combination  of  historical,  social  and  cultural elements.  It  must  be  restricted  and  influenced  by  ideology,  especially  political  ideology  and individual  ideology.  There  are  close  links  between  ideology  and  translation.  According  to Lefevere’s  translation  theory,  this  thesis,  with  the  method  of  descriptive  translation  study, compares and analyzes three Chinese versions of Animal Farm in different historical periods to explore and expound the influence of ideology on literary translation. From  the  above,  the  spread  of  Animal  Farm  in  China  has  experienced  a  tortuous process,  in  the  same  way，the  translation  of  Animal  Farm  also  has  experienced  a  tough process. This thesis selects three Chinese versions of Animal Farm in the different historical periods as the research objects, which are: Ren Zhiyu’s Dong  Wu Nong Zhuang translated in 1947——the  first  Chinese  translation  version;  In  1988  Zhang  Yi,  Gao  Xiaoxian’s  Dong  Wu Zhuang Yuan——first single Chinese version of Animal Farm after the reform and opening up; Fu  Weici’s  Dong  Wu  Nong  Chang  in  2003——the  most  popular  version  at  present.  These three  Chinese  translation  versions  are  respectively  on  behalf  of  the  three  representative historical  periods  of  China.  This  thesis  will  compare  and  analyze  them,  and  discuss  how  the ideology  manipulates  literary  translation.  Through  the  comparison  and  analysis,  we  find  that there  are  lots  of  differences  in  translation  strategies,  translation  methods  and  the  translation styles  and  so  on.  Wh本论文由英语论文网提供整理，提供论文代写，英语论文代写，代写论文，代写英语论文，代写留学生论文，代写英文论文，留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
