t the differences of using the nodes between the learner and the native speaker. And for error analysis, errors of the Chinese English majors will be analyzed. In analyzing, the steps of typical error analysis, which were put forward by Corder (1974), will be followed: 1. collecting samples of learner language; 2. identifying the errors; 3. describing the errors; 4. explaining the errors; 5. evaluating the errors.
3.1 Collecting samples
As mentioned in chapter two. A sentence and two nodes have been chosen, and the nodes are underlined and bolded in the following sentence: 他们的团队合作和创新精神,是宏业公司得以不断创新和发展的真正源泉。 In Chinese, as isolated items, chuang4xin1 and fa1zhan3 can fall into both categories of noun and verb. But in this particular sentence, they collocate with the adverb bu2duan4. So they are used as verbs in the sentence.So shi4 (是)should be interpreted into the predicate verb of the sentence. In English grammar, there is only one predicate in each simple sentence. Thus, all the other verbs in the sentence, including chuang4xin1 and fa1zhan3, should be converted into items of other lexical categories. Also, chuang4xin1 and fa1zhan3 formed two modifiers of the objective yuan2quan2. In interpretation, a polarization phrase with de(的), for instance, A de B is usually interpreted into B of A. So, the sentence can be translated into:

Conclusion
As mentioned in chapter one, the thesis is mainly concerned with the errors of V-N conversion made by the Chinese English majors in their C-E interpretation in the PACCEL-S. The samples are analyzed in both the quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method is applied to analyze the classification and distribution of the errors. And the qualitative method is applied to find out the possible causes of the errors, and to provide some inspiration to C-E interpreting teaching and After analyzing the sub-corpus of the PACCEL-S, the author finds out most Chinese English majors do have the awareness of using V-N conversion in the C-E interpretation. However, many of them make mistakes. The most common error is pretermission. The misuse of noun is also a common error. There is also the misuse of verb or adjective. The possible causes of these errors might be: a) misunderstanding of semanteme;
