Chapter 5 Suggestion and Limitation
An understanding of what is involved in EFL teaching and learning is of greatimportance. Teachers' own conceptions of what learning means and what effects learninghas upon all they do in classroom is illustrated in William and Burden's Psychology forLanguage Teachers: Teachers are highly influenced by their beliefs, which in turn areclosely linked to their values,to their views of the world and to their conceptions of theirplace within it (William and Burden, 2000).Since Feuerstein first put it forward in 1980s, people engaged in education have kept a watchful eye on it. But over the past thirty years, it has not drawn considerableattention from Chinese teachers. Recently, an increasing number of people have begun topay more heed to it as it has been gaining more and more acceptance in EFL teaching. Inaddition, the theories of mediation and humanism underlying teacher mediation canfacilitate an all-round development for both teachers and students.

Conclusion
The research of this paper attempts to explore the effective teaching models forclassroom teaching, more specifically, how to understand the process of learning andteaching and how to arrange and design the contents of English course from the aspect ofmediation theory. During the process of data collection,the author investigated thestudents' opinions who have accepted the English course for a long time. From theperspective of language learning, whether parents or teachers, plays a leading role instudents' learning process undoubtedly. However, the inference incurs some criticismbecause it has neglected the contribution of the learners in the intermediary process. Atthe same time, interviews are also used in the analysis of the application of mediationtheory. And also through questionnaires and interviews, author got the followingconclusions: mediation tools of shared intention and significance are the most importanttools in the twelve mediation tools,change awareness, belonging are less important areboth teachers and students.
