摘要:本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,本次研究选取的是某中学高一年级两个平行班,共100名学生作为研究对象,实验时间为一个学期。实验开始前,通过对两个班学生英语阅读学习积极性的调查问卷与前测阅读成绩进行分析,得知两者之间没有显著差异,适合作为研究对象。作者随机选取一个班为实验班,另一个为对照班。

本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,本次研究根据分析结果可知,对分课堂有利于高中生英语阅读效果的提升。首先,对分课堂能提高学生英语阅读学习的积极性;再者,对分课堂模式能提高学生的英语阅读成绩。

Chapter One Introduction

1.1 Research Background

The New English Curriculum Standards for Regular High School(2020 revision)defined language competence,cultural consciousness,thinking quality and learning abilityas the four aspects of core competence of English subject.According to the four aspects,the objectives of Senior English Curriculum are confirmed,which points out a cleardirection to reform of the Senior English.English reading is one of the crucial ways tocultivate students’key competence.At present,owing to the comprehensiveimplementation of education for all-around development,English teaching in most parts ofour country has been improved to some extent.However,there are still deficiencies.

In recent years,more and more teachers have begun to lay stress on English readingteaching and pay attention to the combination of language form and textual meaning,which upgrades and improve the English reading class.However,most of the Englishreading classes are lack of the cultivation of students’thinking ability,such as analyzing,judging,inferring and thinking(Huang,2010).Many teachers take it for granted thatstudents have the thinking ability on the first day when they went to school,so it isunnecessary for teachers to cultivate it(Lipman M,2003).In English reading teaching,teachers should focus on the principle of learner-centered and ensure that students canactively and effectively participate in the classroom,which are the premise and foundationof cultivating students’thinking quality.Students learn actively in English reading classesand carry out a series of thinking activities,including experiencing,inquiring,cooperatingand communicating.The creation of class,which is full of thinking activities,must be thelearning-centered class.The starting point of teaching design should be students’learning,rather than teachers’teaching(Ge,2018).Teachers’entire domination of classroomdiscourse will make classroom teaching and learning become teachers’monodrama,whichis also called as discourse hegemony phenomenon(Li,2011).

1.2 Research Significance

This thesis focuses on the application of PADD class in reading English in seniorhigh school,so as to introduce a new learning model to students and guide them to changetheir learning habits.PADD class highlights learning through assimilation,presentationand discussion evenly.In this way,students’learning models can be upgraded and theywould be the masters and center of the class,being the authentic learners.So it isbeneficial to stimulating learners’initiative to the largest extent,which achieves abreakthrough in the traditional teaching modes and therefore makes up for theinsufficiency of it.So the thesis is theoretically meaningful.
