摘要:语言迁移是二语习得(SLA)当中的一个重要领域,在外语学习的各个层面—语音、词汇、句法、语篇和修辞等都表现得很明显。Long & Richards 在Odlin(1989)所著的《语言迁移》一书中的前言中指出:“至少一个世纪以来语言迁移一直是应用语言学、二语习得和语言教学研究的的中心”。

Chapter Four 第四章: Implications for English Writing Teaching and Learning
The ultimate purpose of the research is to inform English teaching, particularly the teaching of English writing. Therefore, at the end of this thesis, I propose some suggestions for the improvement of English writing instructions:
4.1 Fostering a Cross-cultural Awareness
Writing is not an isolated act which solely expresses the writer’s inner world. Rather, it is a dynamic process in which both writers and readers are engaged in a socio-cultural context. The task of a teacher therefore is not just to explain some writing techniques to the students, but also foster a cross-cultural awareness in them. Hanvey (1979) points out that cross-cultural awareness refers to the perception of cultural elements demonstrated by the participants in the process of cross-cultural communication. It is to develop sensitivity and understanding of another ethnic group.
