Conclusion


As a research on nominal suffix teaching from the perspective of cognitivelinguistic, this research is a preliminary study, and there were some limitations.Firstly, this study involved only 60 participants. The number of participants didnot cover a wider range and therefore it might be difficult to generalize results from it.If it could include more participants at different levels,the results would be moreconvincing.Secondly, the teaching experiment only lasted for a semester, totally 720 minutesfor each class. A new teaching needs certain time of testing, so if the process werelonger, the result would be more accurate.Thirdly, many factors would influence the participants’ performance in the testof the experiment, if they were controlled better, the test result would be moresignificant.Another limitation was related to the methods and instruments for the data. Thecurrent study had adopted only one method of data collection and analysis, whichwould result in very limited data. Therefore it would be very challenging to presentthe data precisely and explicitly to the readers.
