摘要:English teaching in middle school has increasingly focused on the students’ ability to understand, aiming at learning effectively. How to train students’ reading ability, how toimprove students’ ability of analysis and ability to solve the problems are continually thetopic that middle school English teachers have explored.

Languageschemata refers to readers’ previous knowledge of pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar;content schemata mean whether readers are familiar with the topic of article; rhetoricalschemata means whether readers know about article genres. 5.1 Some problems in terms of teachers
Through the studying questionnaires, class observations, interviews, there are someproblems in terms of teachersFaculties fall behind and the level of teachers needs to be improved. With therapid development of our era, English teaching in our country experiences reforms againand again. However, the more modern teaching methods are, the more standards teachersare required, which includes professional knowledge and comprehensive teaching level. Infact, nowadays though English teachers in our school are English majors, they are lack ofabundant professional knowledge with single teaching method, stale and dull. All of thesemake them difficult to perform various roles in English teaching process. It is difficult for teachers to change their teaching ideas. Teachers have put a greatdeal of enthusiasm into the new curriculum reform and hope to improve the quality ofteaching through the reform, but there is a gap between teachers in teaching concepts andteaching abilities. Some teachers also cannot fully adapt to the teaching of new teachingmaterials, with teaching idea behind the new curriculum ideas. Advanced teachingphilosophy could not turn into teaching behavior. Phenomena such as teacher-centered,excessive focusing on imparting knowledge of the language, learning strategies andcultural awareness, are still common among teaching. While teachers can be clearly awareof the existing problems in the teaching, teachers consume fewer time to study and analyzeexisting problems.

Conclusion


By reading the analysis of the current situation of English reading teaching in ourjunior middle school, we can see that there have still existed various problems in theEnglish reading teaching. These problems are not just the students’ learning, what’s more,they are teachers’ teaching.
