摘要:培养学生的跨文化交际能力是外语教学的主要目标。如何有效地培养和提高学生的跨文化交际能力的广泛关注国内外学者的。跨文化敏感度是跨文化交际的能力是一个重要的部分。一些研究表明,跨文化敏感性和跨文化交际能力呈正相关。所以学生的跨文化敏感度有助于提高学生的跨文化交际能力,促进跨文化交流。

r />   1.2 Objective and significance of the study研究目标和意义
 研究人员进行的研究从不同的角度对跨文化敏感度,如第二语言能力的影响ICSResearchers have conducted studies on intercultural sensitivity from different angles,such as the second language proficiency’s impact on ICS, English and non-Englishmajor students’ ICS, and multinational company employees’ ICS, whereas thepostgraduates’ ICS has rarely been investigated. In order to improve Chinesepostgraduates’ ICC, it is of great necessity to know clearly the status quo of their ICS.Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to assess the ICS of Chinese postgraduates athome and abroad by means of Guo-Ming Chen and Starosta’s Intercultural SensitivityScale (ISS). And a comparative study will be done between Chinese postgraduates athome and abroad. In the course of assessment, the level of Chinese postgraduates’ ICSwill be manifested by their willingness to participate in intercultural communication,their attitudes towards different cultures, their feeling, self-confidence and attentiveness.All these factors of ICS will be measured. At last, suggestions will be made on how toimprove the level of ICS of Chinese postgraduates in accordance to the results of thisstudy.In short, the current study aims to address the following five questions:(1) What is the status quo of the ICS of Chinese postgraduates at home?(2) What is the status quo of the ICS of Chinese postgraduates studying abroad?(3) Is the level of ICS of Chinese postgraduates studying abroad higher than that ofdomestic Chinese postgraduates? If yes, what are the potential causes?(4) Is the level of ICS of Chinese postgraduates studying abroad positively correlatedwith the time length of studying abroad?(5) What are the internal relationships among five factors of Intercultural SensitivityScale? How are the internal relationships among the five factors exposed by thedifferences of ICS of Chinese postgraduates at home and abroad?The present study can be utilized to provide theoretical basis for the assessment ofintercultural communication competence, the result will offer first-hand information ofthe ICC level of Chinese postgraduates, which can shed light on the designing ofconcerned curriculum, usage of teaching methods of Chinese postgraduates’ Englishteaching. Meanwhile, the study can orient the ICC training of Chinese postgraduates tobe a right direction.
  


  1.3 Outline of the thesis论文结构
  The present thesis consists of five parts.The first part draws a general picture of the whole study, including background,purpose and significance of the study.The literature review is presented in Part Two. The theoretical framework of ICC isfirstly introduced, in which the definition of ICC and construct of ICC is respectivelyreviewed. And then, it focuses on intercultural sensitivity, covering the concept andconstruct of ICS and empirical studies on ICS.Part Three offers an introduction of the methodology of the present study, includingthe research questions, the subjects, the instrument, the procedures of data-collectionand the method of analysis.The fourth part hereby is devoted to reporting an elaborate analysis of the results ofthe assessment, in which the status quo of ICS of Chinese postgraduates at home andabroad is respectively demonstrated, and then a comparison on the status quo of ICS ofChinese postgraduates at home and abroad is conducted, after that, the correlationbetween the time length of studying abroad and the ICS of Chinese post grad论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
