Conclusions  

From  the  perspective  of  Verschuren’s  Adaptation  theory,  this  thesis  elaborates  the pragmatic  functions  of  China  English,  taking  the  examples  of  China  English  from  some newspapers,  magazines  and  film  lines  as  the  object  of  the  study.  From  the  discussion,  this thesis  can  draw  some  results.  The  following  are  the  general  findings,  implications  and  the limitations and suggestions of this thesis.This  study  has  investigated  the  pragmatic  functions  of  China  English.  Based  on  the adaptation  theory,  this  study  has  elaborated  the  pragmatic  functions  of  China  English. Through the inductive and deductive reasoning analysis of the 24 examples of China English, three general findings can be concluded in the adaptation-theoretic analysis on the pragmatic function of the China English. Firstly,  it  provides  a  proof  for  the  pragmatic  functions  of  the  China  English.  China English  has  abundant  pragmatic  functions.  The  pragmatic  functions  of  China  English  have some characteristics with some special environment. The process of applying China English is also a process of learning Chinese culture and passing the Chinese culture to all over the world. China English can be understood by English learners with Chinese language context in China. China English is not only a language that belongs to a variety of English, but also a culture  with  pragmatic  functions.  Therefore,  in  Chinese  context,  the  pragmatic  functions  of China English are realized.   Secondly,  the  adaptation-theoretic  analysis  of  the  pragmatic  functions  of  the  China English supplies a new aspect of the pragmatic investigation. Besides that it is also a new way to  analyze  the  China  English  in  its  own  transcript.  Utterers  and  interpreters  convey  their thoughts  and  intentions  through  China  English  in  a  more  vivid  way  with  Chinese characteristics.
