Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of the facilitation of humanitarian activities in sudan and demands that all parties 'ensure the full, safe and unhindered access of humanitarian organizations and relief personnel.' Changes in structure
Resolution 1828 did not apply any considerable changes to UNAMID's structure.

2009
In 2009 the focused shifted from the need to assure the operation’s full deployment to the need to implement the mandate. By December personnel deployment was at above 90% of the authorized quantity, the implementation of the mandate, however, wtill faced considerable challenges. The reluctance of rebel groups and the government to negotiate and the repeated violations of previous commitment, added to the difficulty of the operation in protecting civilian life, made 2009 a complicated year for UNAMID. The secretary general, in report 352, however, expressed optimism at enhanced cooperation by the government with UNAMID forces.
Resolution 1881
The Security Council approved resolution 1881 a few days after UNAMID's mandate ended in July 2009 and extended its mandate again for an additional 12 months, until July 12 2010.
